accessiBe Success Story: Pixel Motion

Together with IT Central Station, we ask Alex M., CEO at Pixel Motion, to share his experience with accessiBe. See how we help them make their clients’ websites accessible and compliant.

What is our primary use case?

It offers accessibility to your website in the form of increasing font sizes, changing colors, stopping animations, stopping videos, etc. The typical usage would be for anybody with a disability who would not be able to necessarily enjoy your website the way it should. Thanks to this technology, they can now view or hear your content, and therefore, be able to transact or do business with your website. Pretty much anybody living with any disability can enjoy or take advantage of a website.

We have one line of code for it installed on our websites. This brings up an online application, which comes from their server, then any updates that they make will be completely automatic.

How has it helped my organization?

The solution is ADA compliant. It is important to our organization to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. We provide as good of a service as we possibly can for all our website viewers or consumers.

The solution’s Accessibility Statement button helps our organization. If there is a need to present accessibility compliance documentation, then it is available. Also, in cases where there is a need to present such a recommendation, it is nice to be able to have it.

What is most valuable?

There are multiple features that will be more or less valuable depending on your level of accessibility needs, e.g., increase font sizes, change colors, stop animations, and text-to-speech.

The solution is visible for those who choose to engage on the accessiBe platform. There is a button that is accessible, both on the mobile and desktop. If you choose to engage with the accessiBe platform, then you can click on it, taking advantage of what it has to offer. It is important that the button is there so you can take advantage of making your website accessible.

It integrates well.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using it for one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is very stable in the sense that we don't see their servers going down or the accessibility icon disappearing. So far, we have found it to be very stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is as scalable as I need it to be. I have not had any issues scaling up with them.

All our clients are offered to use this solution. We provide websites and digital marketing for automotive and motorsports. Our current adoption rate is 75 percent, but we intend on putting accessiBe on every website that we provide.

How are customer service and technical support?

We have not had any issues. Whenever we had any issues, their tech support has been helpful and timely. Sometimes, the only issue can be the time difference since this company is in Israel and there are holidays observed over there that are not necessarily observed in the United States. That is the biggest issue that we have had, which is a non-issue.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used another solution. We switched because accessiBe was a lot easier to deploy and requires a lot less maintenance. Also, it was very competitively priced.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was very straightforward and easy. The deployment can be done on the very same day, so the setup is very fast. If you sign up, then you get the one line of JavaScript code and be up and running literally within minutes. Therefore, the setup is a very easy process.

As soon as we have the need for one of our websites to be ADA compliant, we just go and get the code, then install it.

Our implementation strategy is to put it on every single website that we have so we can stay out of trouble with ADA compliance lawsuits. In terms of how to implement the solution, the implementation is very easy, straightforward, and fast.

Once implemented, our website was accessible to people with disabilities within minutes. Their technology takes about 24 hours to fully crawl the website. However, within minutes, you can already take advantage of their technology. It is minutes of time versus many days' worth of work to create accessibility through manual coding.

What about the implementation team?

Our own team adds the code to the site. In our specific case, our own in-house team is capable of doing the integrations. It works automatically.

Every website can be deployed by a single developer. We don't require any maintenance. All the maintenance is done from the server at the accessiBe site.

What was our ROI?

If ROI is not having trouble, then I have seen ROI. We have not had to deal with ADA lawsuits, so that is our measurable ROI.

We did not need to change the layout of our website or hire a web designer when using this solution. This was very important to our organization when choosing to go with accessiBe. It saved us the cost of having to hire more skilled employees in order to do the integration.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing seems to be competitive enough at this time. Obviously, as new competitors come up, they may need to revisit their pricing structure. Perhaps, they could add more pages to their lower packages. That would be beneficial. The way that they are priced right now is based on the number of pages indexed on Google, and that can sometimes vary. Therefore, the pricing structure, if you are on a threshold, can become a little hard to predict, which is never a good thing. Therefore, if they could increase the number of pages available within their lowest tiers, then that would be a benefit to consumers.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did evaluate other solutions.

What other advice do I have?

It's easy, fast, and competitively priced. Just make sure that you get into the right package for you based on the number of pages that you have indexed on Google. The pricing is based on the number of pages that you have indexed on Google, so make sure you understand how many pages you need to be signing up for when you're choosing the right package and right price point.

Biggest lesson learned: The peace of mind is worth the price.

I would rate it an 8 out of 10 because there must always be room for improvement. However, they have performed to our satisfaction so far.
