Global holding company WPP today announced the opening of its Toronto campus – a creative hub intended to bring together 2,000 people across the organization’s vast network of agencies.

The new campus joins those recently opened in Prague, Milan, Detroit and London. It was built with collaboration in mind to encourage greater interconnectivity and creativity among WPP agencies, which include heavy hitters such as GroupM and its subdivisions Ogilvy, Wunderman Thompson, Grey and others.

“Toronto is a vibrant city, known globally for top creative talent and work,” WPP country manager for Canada Arthur Fleischmann said in a statement. “The new WPP Toronto campus represents the best this city has to offer in digital, advertising, media, communications and PR all under one roof, helping to inspire creativity and co-creation each and every day. And while our agency brands have their own distinct culture and talent, our campus also enables our teams to come together to collaborate on extraordinary work for clients.”

Designed by WPP-owned BDG Architecture + Design, the 250,000-square-foot campus is located at the Waterfront Innovation Centre and sits on the shores of Lake Ontario.

The building is also in the process of obtaining Platinum LEED Certification, further supporting WPP’s goal of achieving net zero across its operations by 2025.
